The maximum possible aggregate is 100.

A Worked Example

Here is how the calculation looks with real figures:

• JAMB Score: 230
• O’Level Grades (best 5): A1, B2, B2, C4, C5

1. JAMB portion: (230 ÷ 400) × 75 equals 43.13
2. O’Level points: 6 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 2 equals 21, out of a possible 30
3. O’Level portion: (21 ÷ 30) × 25 equals 17.5

Total Aggregate Score = 43.13 + 17.5 = 60.63 out of 100

Because JAMB carries three-quarters of the aggregate at FUTA, your UTME performance does most of the heavy lifting. A strong O’Level result still matters, but it cannot fully compensate for a weak JAMB score the way it can at some other universities.
